There are many Tango Houses in the City of Buenos Aires

Tango is a musical and dance genre originating from the Río de la Plata region, specifically Buenos Aires and Montevideo, at the end of the 19th century.

It emerged from the fusion of various cultural expressions, including African, European and Creole influences, such as candombe, habanera and milonga.

Initially, it developed in popular neighborhoods and was considered an indecent dance by the upper classes.

Over time, tango transcended its origins and became an Argentine and Uruguayan cultural symbol, recognized worldwide.
